EHS Football Starting Off Strong

By Meadow Kolster

The first game for the Eagles started this season off strong! I have interviewed three football players from Friday's game. Isaac Alderman (#65), he is a freshman and his positions are T, G. Ty Fasthouse (#1), he is a sophomore and his position is QB. Manaia McCoy (#3), he is a junior and his positions are WR, CB. Isaac is the first person I interviewed and he says “I thought the game started off really well for us because we scored on our first try.” He also says “We kinda got a little slow but we were just able to wear them down.” Ty and Manaia had both said similar things about how the team started off slow. Manaia also had mentioned to me that he didn’t think they were “well prepared yet”. Ty told me that he thought the game “went good but could have gone better.” They all had said the same thing in the end about how the rest of the game was really good and fun but they could have been more prepared.

I think the football game went great and all the players did amazing. The football team will hopefully keep the energy up and keep persevering through the rest of their games. This is going to be a great season for the Eagles! -Meadow Kolster
