"The Bugs" Rebel

By: Hazel Ebert and Camila Flores

On Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday Sept. 20-23, The Bugs play, written by Don Zolidis, will be put on by your drama class.

Katrina Frazier says that the play will take place next week in the PAC building on Wednesday at 4:15, and on Thursday and Friday at 6:30pm. Tickets are 5 dollars and will be sold at the play.

Many students are excited for this play, as Elyssa Quintana says, “I’m really excited for it to go up. It’s really goofy but it also has a bit of a deeper message behind it.”

In addition to this, the story line of this play is very gripping. According to senior Joshua Westphal, The play is about “a human who is trying to put in a pool and a patio in their backyard, and how that’s affecting bugs and how they begin an uprising to try and overturn that decision.”

Furthermore, watching and acting drama can relieve students of stress. Director Cole Raison says, “Drama gives kids a chance to have an artistic outlet for their frustrations and troubles in life, and gives them a chance to escape those things.” Drama can help kids feel less anxiety because it can take your mind off of the things that are causing stress.
